The Concept of Parabrahma

The ultimate and highest truth of Sanatan Dharma is that Parabrahma (god) is formless, eternal, infinite, and whole and is not an object that can be imagined. It is very difficult to understand Sanatan Brahm without any image or shape. We humans can accept only that which we can think in our minds, feel in our hearts, or implement through our actions. That is why the formless Parabrahma in his physical form has decided upon five gods for worship, who are called Panchdev. In the Vedas and Puranas, the worship of the Panch Devas has been described as extremely fruitful and essential. By serving them, the worship of Parabrahma is accomplished. After all, who are those five gods individually? What is the significance of those five? How powerful are they? To know the answers to all such questions, stay till the end of this article. Trimurti—The Three Major Gods

The auspicious sound before the creation of the universe was the Om Abhivyakti Om sound. After that, from the supreme Brahman appeared the Trimurti gods Brahma, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Shiva. Lord Brahma is the creator, Lord Vishnu is the protector, and Lord Shiva is the destroyer. After Brahma, the Trimurti has the highest title. But in various scriptures of Sanatan Dharma, five gods have been determined for worship in physical form, who are called Panchdev. These five gods are Vishnu, Shiva, Ganesha, Surya, and Shakti. Brahma, the supreme god, is formless and bodiless. Therefore, it is impossible for ordinary humans to know his form. That is why the formless Brahm determined five gods for worship in his physical form. Panchdev is the direct form of that supreme Brahman. In the Vedas and Puranas, worship of the Panchdev has been said to be very fruitful and as necessary as taking a daily bath. By worshipping them, one can worship the Supreme Brahman. The person who worships these five gods with complete devotion, his mind always remains radiant and full of wisdom. There are six ways to reach God or such. There are six ways to worship God, and one of those six ways of worship is Advaita, in which it is believed that there is nothing true except Parabrahma. He is Nirgun, i.e., the three qualities of nature, Satva, Rajas and Tamas, are not in him. Brahma can also be worshipped in this formless form, which is called Nirgun worship. Worship of these five gods along with their form is called Sagun worship, i.e., Panchdev worship is Sagun worship. Other gods have different names and forms, like Shaali Gram, Lakshmi Narayan Satyanarayan Govind Dev, and Siddhi Vinayak. Hanuman,Bhavani Bhairav Sheetala, Kamakhya Annapurna, etc. Other gods are the variations and names of these five gods. Let us know in detail why these five gods were chosen. What is the importance of each of them? There are two reasons for the predominance of five gods over other gods.

The Connection Between Panchdev and the Five Elements.

First, the five gods are the presiding lords of the five elements; the five elements are sky, air, fire, water, and earth: these five elements are ruled by the pandev. Sun is the lord of air; hence, he is worshipped by offering arg and salutations. Ganesha is the lord of the water element; hence, it is prescribed to worship him first because, in the beginning of creation, the water element was everywhere. Shakti, i.e., Goddess Jagdamba, is the lord of the fire element. Shiva is the lord of the earth element; hence, it is prescribed to worship him on earth in the form of Shivling. Vishnu is the lord of the sky element; hence, it is prescribed to praise him with words. Let us know in a little more detail about these five gods. Sun is the god. It is described in the Yajurveda that the sun is the soul of the entire universe. Matsya, according to the Puranas, is the self-existent god since ancient times, who is formless. It was he who created Sun God. According to chapter 18 of Brahma Purana, Brahma ji tells the sages that Lord Sun is the soul of everyone, the God of all the worlds, the god of gods, and Prajapati. He is the root of all three worlds. He is the supreme god. The offering put in the fire is like the sun. Rainfall occurs from the Sun; food is produced from sight. The sun is the protector of living and non-living beings on earth; he provides them with sufficient energy and power to survive. Lord Surya was born from the womb of Goddess Aditi from a part of himself, who was called Martand. Ganesha is made up of two words: Gan and Ish. Gan means a group, a class of many or numerous gods. Ish means ruler. Thus, Ganesha means the chief of the class of gods, which includes 12 Adityas, eight Vasus, and 11 Rudras, who are also called Ganas. Lord Ganesha is the ruler of all these gods. According to Sage Patanjali, there are seven chakras in our body, and each chakra has a ruling deity. Lord Ganesha is the presiding deity of the Mooladhar Chakra. Ganesha is worshipped first before any auspicious work. Just by remembering him, all the evils are destroyed. He is the destroyer of evils and obstacles. And the God of success is Goddess Jagdamba Devi, according to Puranas Devi Mahatma; the Yogis meditate on her, and sages who know the essence call her Mool Prakriti, she who provides heaven and salvation; she is the Goddess Jagat Janni Bhagwati herself; she is Bhagwati Shakti; she is the form of Mahadevi; she is Mahashakti; she is Shakti; she is Parashakti; she is the self-power; and she is also the world Mohini. Different Puranas have been composed; in their respective Puranas, these gods have been considered the creator, nurturer, and supporter of the universe, i.e., Brahma. For example, Vishnu is considered as Shiva in Vishnu Purana, Shiva in Ganesh Purana, Ganesh in Ganesh Purana, Surya in Surya Purana, and Shakti in Shakti Purana.

The Worship of Panchdev.

Therefore, a person may worship any god according to his interest or sentiment, but the worship is of only one Brahma because the Panch Dav are the images of Brahma. In their worship or adoration, only Brahma is meditated upon, and he, by staying in Ishta Deva, gives the desired fruit. The same God is sitting in his own powers and is calling himself the greatest. In reality, neither any god is big nor any small. In today's article, we just hope that you liked our article.
